"I was recommended to Sleepy Nico by a close friend who had recently bought one and loved it. I managed to borrow one from my local sling library and I think by the end of the first day of wearing it, both myself and my little boy were sold! It's easy to put on and so comfortable to wear. My son looks so comfy whilst being carried and will happily fall asleep in it. If he's having a cranky day, i can just pop him in the sling and he settles almost immediately. I really liked how soft the carrier was, yet still very supportive. Its also very easily adjustable, and works well for both me (5'0") and my husband (5'8").

The hardest bit by far was deciding on a fabric. I went for the option of picking my own to create a beautiful custom sling. I worked very closely with Angeline and she helpfully suggested websites and ideas for fabrics and cords. The end result was absolutely gorgeous, even more so than i thought it would be. Every time we venture out with the sling I get complimented on it, and have had lots of other mums asking where I got it from. Its brilliant value too, especially compared to some of the other carriers on the market.

My only regret is not getting it sooner!" Mya, Welwyn Garden City (Feb 2013)

"I love love LOVE my Sleepy Nico sling. I visited my local sling library and tried at least 10 slings, and the Nico was by far the most comfortable. It's incredibly quick and easy to put on, just a couple of straps to clip and tighten and you're done. It's also very easy to undo so if your baby is asleep you can do a sling to cot transfer without a problem. The shoulder straps and waistband are padded and the sleep hood is a good size and velcro's to the shoulder straps, serving as a rain cover / head warmer in the wintry weather, or sunshade in the sun. I actually refer to it as the 'magic hood' as when my daughter gets sleepy I put it up and she will almost immediately fall asleep.
I ordered a bespoke Nico which just cost me slightly more than a standard one (the price of the fabric), and it was really fun to work with Angeline to decide on the fabrics. She advised which websites to look at and the types of fabric that work well, and when I couldn't decide she ordered samples of the ones I liked to help me choose. The process was really simple as once I had found what I wanted she simply ordered it herself and got started.
My daughter is 6 months now and the Nico is still incredibly comfortable. I have worn it for long days out in London without any twinges of discomfort, and on the rare occasion I take the buggy the Nico comes with us for when my daughter wants to sleep as she sleeps much better in it than the buggy.
I can't recommend this sling enough, its comfortable, well made, and beautiful. I get compliments on it wherever I go and it is without doubt my best baby buy yet." Kelly, Welwyn Garden City (Jan 2013)

"I love our Sleepy Nico carrier! First of all we were using a Bjorn, but soon it became too heavy for our baby and a friend recommended Sleepy Nico. I wish we'd found out about Sleepy Nico earlier, it is really comfortable and simple to use. They are stylish (not often the case with baby gear) and hard-wearing and easy to swap between mum and dad. I even used mine for a mum and baby salsa class and it worked very well. I've recommended it to several people and would recommend it to any new parents." Katie, London (July, 2010)

"A lovely carrier. I LOVE it already! Absolutely knocks spots off the one I had been using before  - I am really pleased. Beautiful fabric (I chose Sunny Spot), very soft corduroy straps, and sturdy buckles. Feels very comfy, and is easy to put on. Far simpler in design than many other SSCs and much more comfy, yet feels very secure. It is easy to get baby really close and snug, even with arms out, which I never dared do in my other carrier. Love the elasticated sleep hood straps - they are easy to use. The shape of the sleep hood is also good as it cradles the head well without it getting caught when you try to take it back off again, as the ones with hood-shaped (gathered) hoods can sometimes do. It's lightweight and can easily be screwed up and stuffed into a bag. I have had so many comments already from passers-by saying how lovely it looks! It is beautiful, easy to use, comfy for long periods of time, simple and natural-feeling, and cheap at the price compared to the bigger-name carriers. Highly recommended. "We are very happy with our Sleepy Nico carrier! We were using a Bjorn active for the first 8 months and whilst this did the job initially our daughter got too heavy and it became quite uncomfortable. Now having had our Sleepy Nico for only a few weeks we wish we had swapped a long time ago. It is very comfortable to wear, even on very long walks, I have almost mastered the back carry on my own which is very comfy too. We both love wearing this sling and our daughter seems to love it too as she is very calm and settled when in it. It is easy to put on and adjust (the buckles and straps feel v secure) and it is beautifully made, we chose the red apple design as it is a little more gender neutral, perhaps there could be a few more more neutral, modern fabric designs. Overall we are very happy and look forward to many months and even a few years of using this sling. As for the company, Sleepy Nico is a really great company with fantastic customer service. They are friendly and were very quick to get back to my e-mails. Being local to where I live they went the extra mile in demonstrating the carrier for me in person and they also loaned me a carrier to try out before I bought which was great. I would (and have) highly recommend them to my friends and to anyone else thinking of getting a soft structured carrier." Helen, London  (April, 2010)

"Am very happy with this sling and so is the wee one as she gets excited whenever I prepare to carry her in it. I wear it with the straps crossed over at the back as I feel it gives more support. Speaking to other mums about it, this seems to work better for narrower shoulders. The fabric is beautiful and its a very easy sling to put on." Fi, London (April, 2010)

"I chose this carrier because I thought it was beautiful, however it is not only incredibly pretty but it works really well too. I wear my baby on my back and it is very easy to put on and the straps are nicely padded. I am quite small and the carrier adjusts easily and is very comfortable. When my baby is in it, I feel that she is well supported. I think the design of the hood is brilliant as it is easy to do on you own. I think this is a fantastic carrier." Victoria (February, 2010)
