"I love our Sleepy Nico carrier! First of all we were using a Bjorn, but soon it became too heavy for our baby and a friend recommended Sleepy Nico. I wish we'd found out about Sleepy Nico earlier, it is really comfortable and simple to use. They are stylish (not often the case with baby gear) and hard-wearing and easy to swap between mum and dad. I even used mine for a mum and baby salsa class and it worked very well. I've recommended it to several people and would recommend it to any new parents." Katie, London (July, 2010)

"A lovely carrier. I LOVE it already! Absolutely knocks spots off the one I had been using before (an ergo, which was so complicated and not very comfy, and unattractive too) - I am really pleased. Beautiful fabric (I chose Sunny Spot), very soft corduroy straps, and sturdy buckles. Feels very comfy, and is easy to put on. Far simpler in design than many other SSCs and much more comfy, yet feels very secure. It is easy to get baby really close and snug, even with arms out, which I never dared do in my other carrier. Love the elasticated sleep hood straps - they are easy to use. The shape of the sleep hood is also good as it cradles the head well without it getting caught when you try to take it back off again, as the ones with hood-shaped (gathered) hoods can sometimes do. It's lightweight and can easily be screwed up and stuffed into a bag (takes up far less space than the hefty Ergo did!). I have had so many comments already from passers-by saying how lovely it looks! It is beautiful, easy to use, comfy for long periods of time, simple and natural-feeling, and cheap at the price compared to the bigger-name carriers. Highly recommended. " Zoe, Lancaster (June, 2010)

"We are very happy with our Sleepy Nico carrier! We were using a Bjorn active for the first 8 months and whilst this did the job initially our daughter got too heavy and it became quite uncomfortable. Now having had our Sleepy Nico for only a few weeks we wish we had swapped a long time ago. It is very comfortable to wear, even on very long walks, I have almost mastered the back carry on my own which is very comfy too. We both love wearing this sling and our daughter seems to love it too as she is very calm and settled when in it. It is easy to put on and adjust (the buckles and straps feel v secure) and it is beautifully made, we chose the red apple design as it is a little more gender neutral, perhaps there could be a few more more neutral, modern fabric designs. Overall we are very happy and look forward to many months and even a few years of using this sling. As for the company,Sleepy Nico is a really great company with fantastic customer service. They are friendly and were very quick to get back to my e-mails. Being local to where I live they went the extra mile in demonstrating the carrier for me in person and they also loaned me a carrier to try out before I bought which was great. I would (and have) highly recommend them to my friends and to anyone else thinking of getting a soft structured carrier." Helen, London  (April, 2010)

"Am very happy with this sling and so is the wee one as she gets excited whenever I prepare to carry her in it. I wear it with the straps crossed over at the back as I feel it gives more support. Speaking to other mums about it, this seems to work better for narrower shoulders. The fabric is beautiful and its a very easy sling to put on." Fi, London (April, 2010)

"I chose this carrier because I thought it was beautiful, however it is not only incredibly pretty but it works really well too. I wear my baby on my back and it is very easy to put on and the straps are nicely padded. I am quite small and the carrier adjusts easily and is very comfortable. When my baby is in it, I feel that she is well supported. I think the design of the hood is brilliant as it is easy to do on you own. I think this is a fantastic carrier." Victoria (February, 2010)

"My Sleepy Nico arrived within the week, and I'm very pleased with it. The main attraction is how gorgeous they look: the corduroy is lovely and soft, and the sequinning and embroidery are so pretty. My baby is quite small so she is only now (6 months) comfortable with her legs 'out'. Like the previous reviewer, I find the behind-shoulders strap a little hard to do up, but it's just a matter of remembering to make sure I've pulled the buckle up far enough. I would definitely recommend this carrier and the fabric designs are really great." Willow (December, 2008)

"I have the Japanese Dream print and it is gorgeous, even better in real life than on the website! I was allowed to choose which motif I wanted for the hood and panel and it is my prettiest carrier by far. Very lightweight, packs down small for a SSC, and comes with its own carry bag, which I think is great as carrier doesn't get stained in bag, car, etc. Sewing is of very high quality and it is currently very comfortable with my 20lbs DD on my back. DD gave it the seal of approval by promptly falling asleep in it. The sleephood was dead easy to put on by myself too. My only reserve would be that it is too hard to decide amongst all the lovely prints :-)" Adeline (July, 2008)

"I have a custom carrier. They allowed me to supply all materials and were really helpful. The carrier is one-of-a-kind, comfortable and beautiful. Thank you so much, I may [have] found the SSc love after all!" Sarah and Charlie, London (July, 2008)

"I received my Sleepy Nico a few days ago (the day after I ordered it!) and I really love it already. It's very comfortable in a front carry with my four month-old and feels very light and simple to get on and off. The fabric on the straps and waistband is gorgeously soft, and the way that the sleep hood exactly matches the main panel, so that the pattern of the fabric isn't interrupted at all, shows real care and attention to detail. I'm so pleased with it - it's probably the classiest looking thing in my entire wardrobe just now! Highly recommended." From Thebabywearer.com (July, 2008)

"Really great service - helpful, fast replies to emails and very friendly! I wish all retailers were like this. The made-to-order option to use your own fabric is a lovely idea. The carrier was made and dispatched quickly, and is excellent quality. It's also comfortable and so much quicker to put on and easier to use than the others I've tried." Joyce and Ava (July, 2008)

"This is a super carrier. It's child's play to put on with just two buckles to click, and it's easily adjusted to fit the wearer, so my husband uses it too. It's so comfortable, I can, and have, worn it for hours at a time. The sleep hood is a very good idea to give a snoozing baby extra support. I love it so much I wish I had one for my first baby. And it's absolutely gorgeous. I want all of them!" From Thebabywearer.com (May, 2008)

"I absolutely love my new sling from Sleepy Nico and so does my 1 year old daughter, Evie. It is so comfortable and feels very natural, like it should be there rather than it being in the way which I've found with other slings. I get the impression that Evie is really included in the experience when we go out and she loves bouncing herself up and down. It is very stylish and beautifully made and so handy to be able to slip it in a bag when collecting her from nursery. Probably the best piece of baby equipment I've bought so far - I wish I'd discovered them sooner!" Caroline & Evie, Brockley, London (March, 2008)

"My Sleepy Nico sling is fab - really comfy, easy to use and made from beautiful fabric! I'd had loads of lovely comments about it when we've been out and about. I've worn my 17 month old daughter in it on my back for long periods of time (including all day at the zoo) and it was the most comfortable of all my carriers. Anyone thinking about an SSC carrier should definitely get one of these!" Sarah, Scotland (March 2008)

"This is a fantastic baby carrier - very comfortable and easy to carry my daughter (who is on the heavy side) both on my back and front, and she's very happy sleeping in it. They have lots of different patterns to choose from and are beautifully made. It's much neater and smaller than a structured back carrier and I find it miles more comfortable than the babybjorn sling that I used to use." Caroline, Hackney, London (March 2008)

"This sling is just fantastic, I have several but this is the first one i've felt totally comfortable with. It's comfortable to wear, my daughter loves it on my front and back and it's really attractive - i've had a lot of comments. The team are really friendly and it was delivered in a couple of days." Caroline and Angeline, Balham, London (March 2008)

"I was so impressed by the speedy and friendly service. I have tried lots of slings, including all the leading SS brands. the sleepy nico is fantastic. beautifully made, comfortable to wear and i really valued knowing exactly where and who made it. A quality sling and i happily recommend it. I specifically liked the range of adjustment available, which i feel is broader than in some other SS slings, which gives a really comfy fit." Becky, Clapham, London (March 2008)
